Tonight we went to watch a video surrounding the issue of domestic child sex trafficking. The main focus of the video was to provide a clear picture of those most targeted (ie: runaways, low-income, abused children) and to give a good description of a pimp. Preceding the video, Steven Goff, from Houston Rescue and Restore, gave a comprehensive explanation of trafficking. He discussed common words that can be confusing, such as "domestic" vs. "international", and "human trafficking" vs. "smuggling". I greatly appreciated the latter, because I have been confused on the difference before.
Does anyone else have anything they would like to add? Did I miss any extraordinary parts?
